According to psychologists, there are four types of intelligence:
1) (IQ)
2) (EQ)
3) (SQ)
4) (AQ)
- Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
This is a measure of your level of understanding. You need IQ to solve math, remember things, and memorize lessons. - Emotional quotient (EQ)
This is a measure of your ability to keep peace with others, to keep time, to be responsible, to be honest, to respect boundaries, to be modest, honest and considerate. - Social coefficient (SQ)
This is a measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.
People who have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools benefit from an improvement in IQ, while EQ and SQ are lowered.
A man with a high IQ may end up being hired by a man with a high EQ and SQ even if he has an average IQ.
Your EQ represents your character, while your SQ represents your charisma. Develop habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.
Now there is a 4th, new paradigm: - Resilience Quotient (AQ): A measure of your ability to go through a difficult period in life and come out of it without losing your sanity.
When faced with adversity, AQ decides who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider suicide…
Parents, expose your children to areas of life other than academics. He should like physical work (never use work as a form of punishment), sports and art.
Develop your IQ as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings capable of doing things independently of their parents.
Finally, don’t prepare the road for the children, but prepare the children for the road!
“Character without intelligence is worth a lot, but intelligence without character is worth nothing.”
